Jupiter Medical Center Hosts Second Annual Sporting Clays Classic

Signature event fuels innovation and advances exceptional urological care

Jupiter, Fla. – May 26, 2026 – Jupiter Medical Center came together early morning on a beautiful spring day at the OK Corral Gun Club for the second annual Sporting Clays Classic, uniting camaraderie, competition, and philanthropy in support of advanced urological care. Hosted by Jupiter Medical Center Foundation and presented by The Bov Foundation, the event marked another meaningful step forward in strengthening specialty care for the community.

Building on the momentum of last year’s inaugural event, the Classic continues to benefit the Barb and Joe Charles Center for Urology, established to address the region’s increasing demand for comprehensive, high-quality urological services. Just two years after the hospital announced the founding gift, the Sporting Clays Classic has quickly become a signature fundraising event, with plans already underway for the 2027 gathering.

“As our region continues to grow, so does the demand for advanced, specialized urological care,” Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “At Jupiter Medical Center, we are committed to meeting that need by investing in exceptional physicians, innovative technology, and comprehensive services close to home. The generosity of our donors, especially Barb and Joe Charles, who provided the foundational gift for this program, makes this progress possible. We are grateful to them and everyone who has supported this event for their partnership in helping us shape the future of urological care for our community.”

In its first year, the Barb and Joe Charles Center for Urology provided expert care to over 1,600 men and women, offering comprehensive evaluation, prevention, treatment, and advanced surgical services. In 2025 more than 1,700 urologic patients received care, and 659 surgeries were performed and we are on track to treat 25 percent more patients in 2026.

Under the leadership of Patrick Tenbrink, MD, Medical Director of Urology and a board-certified urologist, the Center is actively recruiting a multidisciplinary team of highly specialized physicians and investing in additional state-of-the-art technology to further enhance patient care. Adam Nolte, MD, fellowship-trained in robotic and minimally invasive urologic surgery, joined the team last fall.

“Your philanthropic generosity fuels innovation, strengthens specialty programs, and helps ensure patients have access to high‑quality, compassionate care close to home – today and for generations to come,” said Traci Simonsen, Chief Philanthropy Officer of the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, while addressing event attendees. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who supports the Sporting Clays Classic and shares our commitment to advancing care for our growing community.”

Sporting Clays Classic Committee members included Glenn Anderson, Britton Core, Ryan M. Hobbie, Justin Howard, Trey Mahoney, Chris Merrell, Michael Pipkens, Tom Pledger, Jr., Paul Vedder, Dr. Christopher West, and Matthew Wisehaupt.

Sponsors and underwriters included The Bov Foundation, Black Diamond General Contracting, Land Rover Palm Beach, Robins & Morton, Eva Hoard, Knight Corporations, and Steven Martenis.

The Third Annual Sporting Clays Classic is scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2027.
