Multiple Ribbon-Cuttings Celebrated at Jupiter Medical Center

Jupiter, Fla. – Thanks to the generosity of donors, on January 10, Jupiter Medical Center Foundation celebrated the ribbon-cutting of the Timothy and Jayne Donahue Cardiac Surgery Program, the state-of-the art Comprehensive Stroke Center and the James J. Felcyn and Louise Brien Felcyn Observation Unit.

The opening of the new, 18-bed Observation Unit is well coordinated with the stroke and heart program, and is considered a best practice as it speeds up diagnosis and treatment for patients who require close monitoring and advanced testing. The Timothy and Jayne Donahue Cardiac Surgery Program includes two, new state-of-the-art operating suites, which will allow Jupiter Medical Center to offer more advanced cardiac procedures and open-heart surgery. Thanks to an anonymous $5 million gift, Jupiter Medical Center is now the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in northern Palm Beach County and Martin County, delivering 24/7 rapid, advanced stroke care.

At the gathering, Liv Vesely, President of Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, said, “Thanks to philanthropy, we have the ability to move swiftly and meet the needs of our community. We are very grateful to our donors.”
