The Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center
Expansion

Since opening in 2015, The Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center has set the standard for breast health and advanced imaging in our region.
Designed with patient comfort in mind, the Niedland Center brings together leading-edge technology, including 3D mammography, 3D contrast-enhanced mammography, breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, bone density testing, and breast and general MRI, within a warm, healing environment.
Today, the center performs nearly 40,000 imaging exams each year, serving as the cornerstone of imaging for Jupiter Medical Center and a vital resource for general diagnostic services in our community.
The Power of Philanthropy
Philanthropy has shaped The Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center from its inception—and continues to drive its evolution today. The center was founded through a generous gift from Suzanne Niedland and Lawrence F. De George in honor of Suzanne’s late mother, Margaret, who bravely battled breast cancer and envisioned a community with access to the most advanced tools for early detection.
Ongoing donor support empowers Jupiter Medical Center to continually elevate the technologies and services available at the Niedland Center, from leading-edge imaging to same-day diagnostic pathways that provide comfort, clarity, and hope to thousands of patients each year.
A Night of Legacy and Impact
Building on this momentum, proceeds from the 49th Annual Black-Tie Ball will directly support the expansion—ensuring the Niedland Center remains a place where early detection leads to lifesaving care.
Opportunities to Support Growth
As our population continues to grow, so does the need for timely and accessible imaging. To meet this rising demand, and ensure no patient waits for essential diagnostic care, Jupiter Medical Center is expanding the Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center with a 13,000-square-foot addition dedicated to advanced imaging for patients of all ages and genders. The expansion will:
- Add 13,000 square feet of dedicated imaging space
- Create a general imaging wing serving the entire community
- Add three new CT scanners
- Add a second MRI machine to dramatically reduce wait times
- Build additional mammography suites and an ultrasound biopsy room
- Add multiple ultrasound rooms
- Include a dedicated outpatient laboratory to improve efficiency and reduce delays
These enhancements will allow Jupiter Medical Center to increase capacity, shorten wait times, accelerate diagnosis, and ensure patients receive the best care, when it matters most.
