Jupiter Medical Center Announces New Chief Philanthropy Officer

June 20, 2023

JUPITER, Florida. – Jupiter Medical Center is pleased to announce that Traci Simonsen has been promoted to Chief Philanthropy Officer of Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, effective immediately. Simonsen joined the Foundation in June 2022 as the Associate Vice President of Philanthropy.

Since joining Jupiter Medical Center Foundation in June 2022, Simonsen has worked diligently to expand philanthropic avenues to increase financial support for Jupiter Medical Center.

“Traci is a valuable addition to our philanthropy team,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “Her passion for people and demonstrated success across multiple philanthropic industries, including health care, the arts and higher education, make her an asset to our team. This is an important position, as thanks to our community, we are boldly forging the future of health care as the leader in our region.”

Before joining Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, Simonsen was the Executive Director of Major and Planned Gifts for Norton Healthcare and Children’s Hospital Foundations, where she helped build one of the most successful fundraising teams in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to moving into medical fundraising, Simonsen worked in philanthropy at the Kentucky Center for the Arts and the University of Louisville.

Simonsen has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Louisville. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

“It is an honor to be promoted to a key role for Jupiter Medical Center’s philanthropy efforts,” said Traci Simonsen, Chief Philanthropy Officer of the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation. “Jupiter Medical Center is providing the most exceptional care and patient experiences in our region, and we can do more together. I look forward to working with the community to raise funds so that our tradition of care can continue for generations to come.”

Jupiter Medical Center is currently undergoing the most transformative period in its history. With a focus on quality, safety and patient satisfaction, the health care system is expanding its depth and breadth of services, increasing its growing geographic footprint and building new alliances.

Notably, the hospital unveiled its $4 million renovation and expansion to its emergency department earlier this year. By the end of the year, it will open its highly anticipated Johnny and Terry Gray Surgical Institute. The 90,000-square-foot Surgical Institute will feature 16 smart operating rooms and two hybrid operating suites. The project met a construction milestone in February 2023 with a celebratory topping-off ceremony, and through the community’s generous support, more than $52 million has been raised towards the $100 million project.
