Every gift builds a stronger foundation for innovation, expanding access to leading-edge care and ensuring that programs evolve in step with the needs of our rapidly growing communities. Together, we are creating pathways to extraordinary care and delivering it where it matters most: right here at home.
Tim and Jayne Donahue have a long-standing, deeply impactful relationship with Jupiter Medical Center. Their most recent transformational gift, naming the Tim and Jayne Donahue Patient Care Tower, is reshaping not only our campus but also the level of care we provide to our community. Thoughtfully designed with healing and innovation, the Tower includes dedicated floors for Cancer Care, Heart & Vascular, and Orthopedics, each purposefully created to enhance patient safety, improve outcomes, and elevate the overall patient experience.
In 2017, they made a generous gift to establish the Timothy & Jayne Donahue Cardiac Surgery Program. Their philanthropy has significantly advanced cardiac care throughout the region, enabling patients to access a broader spectrum of services—including minimally invasive interventional cardiology, cardiac catheterizations, and acute cardiac care, right here at home. The Donahue’s unwavering dedication to transforming health care in our community is truly inspiring, and we are honored to call them partners.
A transformative gift from Barb and Joe Charles enabled Jupiter Medical Center to launch a Center for Urology—an initiative designed to dramatically expand access to one of the region’s most in-demand specialties. Their philanthropic leadership supported the recruitment of highly specialized physicians, including a urologic oncologist, and the acquisition of cutting-edge diagnostic and surgical technology.
The Center addresses a critical community need, as half of all adults will experience a urological condition in their lifetime, and local population growth continues to place unprecedented demands on specialty care. Under the direction of Patrick O. Tenbrink, MD, the program offers comprehensive evaluation, prevention, treatment, and surgical expertise for a wide range of urological conditions.
A heartfelt gift from Rita Tansky is helping Jupiter Medical Center build a comprehensive palliative care program within our oncology services, honoring the memory of her late husband, Burt Tansky—a treasured donor, leader, and advocate for compassionate care.
Palliative care provides vital support for individuals facing serious illness, addressing physical symptoms while also tending to the emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. With this gift, Jupiter Medical Center is expanding a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, advanced practice nurses, social workers, and therapists who collaborate closely with each patient’s primary medical providers.
In February 2016, Jupiter Medical Center proudly opened the De George Pediatric Inpatient Unit, a milestone made possible through a landmark gift from the Lawrence J. and Florence A. De George Charitable Trust. This dedicated pediatric floor offers state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient medical and therapeutic services for patients from birth through age 18. The De George Pediatric Unit represents the continuation of a dynamic and deeply impactful partnership between Jupiter Medical Center and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, part of Miami Children’s Health System.
Building on this commitment to pediatric excellence, the Level II De George Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) opened in October 2019, once again made possible through the generosity of the Lawrence J. and Florence A. De George Charitable Trust, in partnership with the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital/Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation. The 16-bed NICU enables Jupiter Medical Center to care for newborns as early as 32 weeks' gestation.
Together, these philanthropic investments have profoundly expanded access to high-quality pediatric and neonatal care, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion, innovation, and hope for families across our community.
Made possible by a generous gift, the Florence A. De George Children’s & Women’s Services obstetrics unit at Jupiter Medical Center stands as a lasting testament to the donor’s commitment to mothers, babies, and families in our community. This extraordinary support transformed a shared vision into a state-of-the-art environment where expert, compassionate care is delivered in a setting designed to feel welcoming, calm, and comforting—like home.
Each year, Jupiter Medical Center delivers more than 2,500 babies and has grown into a leading destination for maternal and neonatal care. Today, the unit features eight labor rooms, two advanced operating suites, and 17 post-delivery rooms, along with a 16-bed Level II De George Neonatal Intensive Care Unit dedicated to caring for our most vulnerable newborns. Enhanced by advanced monitoring technologies, comprehensive pain management protocols, and National Safe Sleep Certification that promotes safe infant-sleeping practices, the program reflects the profound impact of philanthropy on patient care.
The opening of the Peter and Missy Crisp Fast Track Suite in January 2023 marked a transformative milestone for Jupiter Medical Center’s Emergency Department, made possible through the generosity and vision of philanthropy of Peter and Missy Crisp. This 12-bed suite expanded emergency care capacity by 30 percent, allowing our care teams to deliver faster, more efficient treatment while significantly enhancing the patient experience.
The Fast Track Suite is designed to quickly treat patients with less complex medical needs, helping them move through the emergency department more efficiently while freeing critical resources for higher-acuity cases. This targeted approach has reduced wait times, improved patient flow, and elevated overall satisfaction for patients and families. Most importantly, it has strengthened our ability to meet growing community needs without compromising the quality or compassion of care.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the Jupiter Medical Center Auxiliary, the hospital’s dedicated volunteer organization, Jupiter Medical Center continues to advance compassionate, patient-centered care. Over the years, the Auxiliary has contributed more than $14 million to support vital programs and facilities across the hospital.
Most recently, the Auxiliary made a significant philanthropic investment in the Johnny and Terry Gray Surgical Institute, funding the creation of a serene, state-of-the-art family lounge designed to provide comfort and respite for loved ones during critical moments of care. In recognition of this gift, the space has been named the Jupiter Medical Center Auxiliary Lounge.
This generosity builds upon the Auxiliary’s longstanding legacy of impact, including a major gift in 2019 that supported the hospital’s DeGeorge Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Beyond financial support, the Auxiliary plays an essential role in enhancing patient experience by overseeing all volunteer efforts.
A transformational gift from the Entenmann Family Foundation made possible the creation of The Entenmann Family Chemotherapy & Infusion Center within the Anderson Family Cancer Institute—an environment designed to elevate both care and comfort for patients undergoing treatment.
Located on the third floor, the Center is purposefully designed to enhance efficiency while prioritizing the patient experience. Abundant natural light, thoughtfully curated design elements, and a choice of private rooms or shared spaces create a calming, restorative setting. Specialized infusion chairs and a tranquil atmosphere help ease the physical and emotional challenges of treatment.
A transformative philanthropic gift in 2018 made possible the naming of the Robson Heart & Vascular Institute, an investment that continues to change the lives of patients with heart disease throughout Palm Beach County and Florida’s Treasure Coast. Thanks to this generosity, patients have access to world-class cardiac expertise, highly personalized care, advanced technologies, and comprehensive supportive services at the nationally recognized, award-winning Robson Heart & Vascular Institute at Jupiter Medical Center.
At the Institute, patients turn to a highly skilled team of non-invasive and interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiac surgeons, specialized nurses, and technologists, all working together to deliver the full continuum of advanced cardiac care. This remarkable level of expertise, available close to home, allows patients and their families to remain in their community while receiving exceptional, life-saving heart care.
Thanks to the generous support of the Jack Satter Foundation, Jupiter Medical Center is able to provide vital education and support for caregivers of individuals living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. These offerings include expert-led lectures on the latest research and treatments, the emerging role of AI in early detection, and strategies that help caregivers prioritize their own well-being while caring for others.
Philanthropic support also enables Jupiter Medical Center to host workshops and community-based speaking engagements that create safe, supportive spaces for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and learn practical coping strategies while thoughtfully addressing the unique needs of each participant.
The Frenchman’s Creek Digestive Health Center opened in January 2017, made possible through the collective generosity of the Frenchman’s Creek Men’s Health Day Golf Tournament. This philanthropic support created a comprehensive destination for advanced digestive care, serving patients with conditions affecting the bile ducts, gallbladder, stomach, and other gastrointestinal disorders.
Designed with patient comfort at the forefront, the Center is staffed by specially trained professionals who guide patients through every step of their care, ensuring a safe, compassionate, and personalized experience from start to finish.
