Jupiter Medical Center's 47th Annual Black-Tie Ball Was Sold-Out Success

March 21, 2024

The elegant evening raised funds for new Patient Care Tower

JUPITER, Fla. – March 21, 2024 – On Saturday, March 2, 2024, Jupiter Medical Center’s 47th Annual Black-Tie Ball returned to The Breakers in celebration and support of the not-for-profit hospital’s history and future. Jupiter Medical Center Foundation raised more than $1.2 million during the elegant evening for the hospital’s new Patient Care Tower, which is scheduled to open next year.

Patsy and Joe Petri chaired the Black-Tie Ball, and Lee Ann and Jeffrey Alderton served as honorary chairs. Tiffany Kenney, an evening anchor for WPBF 25 News, was the emcee.

“Our growth is a direct reflection of our dedication to safety, quality and patient experience, while focusing on expanding the depth and breadth of our clinical services,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “As a result, we are the highest-rated hospital in our region. Our clinical excellence, coupled with your continued support, will ensure world-class care for generations to come.”

Jupiter Medical Center recently celebrated its 45th anniversary in February. The hospital started as a 34-bed facility treating just 1,800 patients a year. Today, the health system employs more than 2,500 dedicated team members, oversees 400 volunteers, and has over 750 affiliated physicians to care for nearly 400,000 patients annually.

“Philanthropy is central to everything we do,” said Traci Simonsen, Chief Philanthropy Officer of Jupiter Medical Center Foundation. “We are honored to serve you and this community, and we are most grateful for your generous support, which enables us to continue doing more.”

Jupiter Medical Center is undergoing the most transformative period in its history. The Johnny and Terry Gray Surgical Institute, a 90,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, opened for patient care in late January. Since its opening, more than 1,500 successful surgeries – including more than 300 robotic procedures – have been completed.

The next phase in Jupiter Medical Center’s main campus expansion is to complete the five-story, 92-bed Patient Care Tower and an 800-spot, five-deck parking garage. The project will significantly increase the hospital’s 248-bed capacity to provide even more world-class care.
