Charity was in full swing on Monday, November 13, when golfers at two different
esteemed golf clubs raised their clubs to support the
Jupiter Medical Center Foundation’s 44th Annual Charity Golf Classic presented by Palm Beach Kennel Club and The
Rooney Family. The multi-day, multi-location event started the Saturday
before with “An Evening on the Range with Brad Faxon and Tom Fazio,”
the event’s chairman and honorary chairman, respectively. The fun
pre-tournament celebration was hosted at Old Marsh Golf Club and included
delectable cuisine from the area’s favorite food trucks and competitive
golf contests. The main event was hosted at Jupiter Island Club and Medalist
Golf Club. Funds raised are earmarked to support
Jupiter Medical Center’s new Patient Care Tower.
“We are grateful to everyone who supported this event and joined
us out on the green,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and
CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “The funds raised from this tournament
will help us to expand access to the highest quality health care in our
region with the creation of our new Patient Care Tower. This is an exciting
project for our growing community.”
The new Patient Care Tower project comes amid significant expansions and
renovations to the independent, not-for-profit medical center’s
main campus at 1210 S. Old Dixie Highway in the heart of Jupiter. The
five-story, 92-bed $110 million project will break ground in early 2024.
“We are thrilled with the success of our 44th Annual JMCF Charity Golf Classic,” said Traci Simonsen, Chief Philanthropy
Officer of Jupiter Medical Center Foundation. “This event was a
sold-out success due to its reputation as one of North County’s
premiere charity golf tournaments, as well as the dedication of those
committed to creating a healthier and more sustainable community. We appreciate
everyone who made it a great event, including our committee members, sponsors
and attendees.”
